June 12, 2010 was not just another day for Rachel and Mark. This warm summer day was their wedding day! It started with early morning thunder storms and worried guests, parents, photographers, and soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Mark Wright wondering if the weather would clear up for their charming outside wedding.
As Rachel and her bridesmaids made the finishing touches to their make-up and hair, the skies cleared and the day was looking to be absolutely perfect!
The wedding ceremony was beautiful. Guests lined the manicured, yet lightly damp lawn. White and orange flower petals were sprinkled along the aisle escorting guests and the bridal party toward the front of the gazebo. The bride arrived in style! Escorted by her father in a vintage Corvette, they drove right up to the center aisle. Helping her from the car, Rachel’s father took her hand and together they sashayed down the aisle to meet her groom. Mark was in awe of his beautiful bride. Vows and rings were exchanged. Promises were sealed with a kiss, and two became one!
As the thunder rolled in the distance, we finished up bridal party and family photos just as rain began to sprinkle. We moved quickly to the reception hall to begin the festivities.
The wedding and reception took place on the Hensley property; complete with acres of trees, a glistening lake, cascading streams and a renovated garage to gorgeous reception hall. Once filled with several classic cars, the room was transformed into cheerful orange and green decor. Fancy lights and chandeliers adorned the ceiling. The party favors were carefully crafted by Mark himself; perfectly constructed paper containers made to be filled with a variety of candy and favors. The food and cake was amazing and the guests had a great party hosted by Hey! Mr. DJ Entertainment.
We were able to borrow the bride and groom during the reception. We set off toward the front of the property where tall grass and wild flowers blossomed. With the sun setting in the sky, it was the perfect time to capture memories that will last forever!
